Flutterby Jacket and matching Wellies featured on Emmerdale!

Family favorite Emmerdale has featured the darkest of story lines lately; so imagine our delight when we saw our Girl’s Flutterby Waterproof Jacket and matching Wellies brightening up the scene! If you were watching last night, you would have seen Sarah sporting the bright butterfly laden jacket as she hides out in a barn with Cameron as the rain pours down outside…but we don’t want to give away too many spoilers to any readers still waiting to catch up!

Why we love the Flutterby Jacket...

The Flutterby is completely waterproof, breathable and windproof with heat sealed seams and an integral hood to ensure your little ones are kept dry and warm on the cold rainy days approaching us in winter. It is also fully lined inside for comfort with two button front pockets and a decorative bow on the back. The best part is that the Flutterby Jacket comes with a two year product guarantee, so if anything goes wrong with it during that time (i.e. a manufacturing fault) we will be happy to give you a brand new replacement!

Where to get yours...

So if you are looking for the perfect jacket to keep your kids dry this autumn, this could be the one for you. You can find it at Target Dry Flutterby Raincoat for Girls on targetdry.com. We offer free first class postage on all of our orders, so it should be with you in 1-3 days. If you fancy matching your coat to your boots, you can also buy our Target Dry Flutterby Girls Wellies to complete the look!

We're also offering 15% off all our kids range for the rest of this week when you enter the code 'EMMERDALE15' at the checkout...happy shopping! :)

Keep an eye out for the Flutterby Jacket and Wellies tonight and the rest of the week on Emmerdale...we bet you will see them again!!

Autumn/Winter 2013: It's here.

As much as we love the summertime, there’s something nice about getting your big winter coat on and wrapping up warm when the winter chill sets in. With the recent drop in temperature, we were very excited to see all of our brand new Autumn/Winter stock arriving! And boy, are you in for a treat…

Remember our Emily Parka you all loved so much?! Because it was so popular, we decided to bring you a new, updated version to keep you cosy during the freezing winter months. The Georgia Parka is a similar style to the Emily, but with a much warmer lining. We've even added an ultra soft removable faux fur lining around the hood to keep you even warmer! It comes in two colours to suit everyone and it is 100% waterproof and breathable so it's functional, as well as fashionable: win/win!

For more information on the Georgia, visit our product website which was made especially for it! You can find out everything you need to know along with a few bloggers reviews of the coat.

For men, we have the new Joseph jacket: an amazing creation that combines the style and comfort of everyday wear in the city with the functionality of a walk in the mountains with its warm inner lining, waterproofing (5000mm) and breathability (5000gsm). It is everything you need to battle the elements in style this winter, and with two colours available, Woodland (below) and Navy, everyone can find what suits them best.

The next jacket is called the Ascot, which follows on from last year's Ennis. The Ascot is slightly longer, with a belted waist to keep you extra warm when the winter winds are blowing. This jacket is also water repellent and windproof to keep you comfortable as well as warm. It comes in Persian Purple and Winterberry Pink to drive the winter blues away and keep you feeling bright.

The Carlow is our new Men's leisurewear fleece. It comes in Navy and Khaki and is perfect for keeping you cosy and comfortable, whether you're commuting to work in the morning frost, or just chilling out on the sofa.

The Laragh is our Women's alternative to the Carlow, featuring a contrasting front zip and an ultra feminine rose print lined hood. The Laragh and Carlow are both 'Sherpa' fleeces meaning they are super soft and immune to the "pilling" found on most fleeces when they have been worn for a while. We think they might just be the most comfortable fleeces ever!

So if you are looking for this winter's waterproof fix, or something to keep the winter chill at bay, look no further! You can find it all here amidst our new arrivals.

Keep an eye out for our next post... we will be talking about all of our new Xtreme Series gear and what is best to take hiking up the mountain this winter!

100 Reviews!

Hooray! We reached 100 reviews on our website this week! So we just want to say a huge thank you to all of our lovely customers who have taken the time to write us a review. We work hard to ensure top quality, friendly service at all times and it is really rewarding to hear that our customers appreciate it. We also love to hear what we can improve on so that we can make our service even better.

Here's what some of you have said:

"When Target Dry say waterproof they mean just that. I have had so many rain hats that really don't cope with wild Welsh rain I had almost given up but at long last I have found the perfect answer, thanks Target Dry!"

"I was looking for a waterproof jacket that was stylish - Ive got it!!! Perfect for getting drenched at Saturday morning footie matches."

"I love my new coat. It is ideal for my daily walks with the dog as it fits nicely, it is waterproof and warm. In the depths of winter there is enough room for me to wear a fleece underneath. It is great value for money and I am happy with my purchase."

So thanks very much to each and every one of you...we hope you continue to buy and review for us in future!

Have a good weekend! :)

Kilimanjaro Project - A Q&A with Sarah Ennis

Sarah Ennis is travelling to Tanzania with Action Challenge to climb Mt Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for WaterAid.

We recently sat down with Sarah Ennis to find out more about her upcoming trip to Tanzania, and to find out how we could help kit her out and raise awareness for WaterAid.

Target Dry: Could you tell us a bit about why you chose to support WaterAid?

Sarah Ennis: Unclean water is the second biggest killer of children under five years old, worldwide it kills around 700,000 children per year. That's almost 2,000 children a day.  Water and sanitation underpin health, education and livelihoods, and yet hundreds of millions of people live without this basic human right. WaterAid transform lives by drilling borehole wells and by providing clean water infrastructure.  Therefore I chose to support this charity as water is essential for life and by supporting WaterAid we are safe guarding the future health of children throughout the world.

TD: Why did you choose to climb Kilimanjaro? (as opposed to a charity walk or swim)

SE: I wanted to raise money for WaterAid by taking on a challenge that would not only be physically and mentally challenging, but would also be a once in a life time ultimate challenge.  Kilimanjaro combines all of these!

TD: What are you doing in preparation for the big climb?

SE: I train by hill walking in the Mourne Mountains, County Down, Northern Ireland every week, on either a Saturday or Sunday.  I'm putting my Target Dry Xtreme Series Gear that I'm taking to Kilimanjaro to good use. I also train 3 times a week in the gym, doing aerobic exercises and weights. I also walk and run 5K outdoors two or three times a week.

TD: What are you looking forward to?

SE: I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of our group from all over Britain and Ireland.  But most of all I am looking forward to experiencing the sights, sounds, smells and cultures of East Africa.  I'm REALLY excited about the challenge of the climb, sleeping under the stars and becoming a member of a group who are bonded with a single aim of helping others in the world who are less fortunate than themselves.

TD: What are you nervous about?

SE: Altitude sickness doesn't sound like fun! But hopefully this will not be an issue as I have trained long and hard, and have opted for the slower ascent.

TD: How can people get in touch with you to support your cause?

SE: Everyone is welcome to visit my online WaterAid Donations Page  or they can visit my sponsors support group on Twitter @KilimanjaroProj

Sarah leaves for Tanzania on 11 October 2013 for her 12 Day East African Trip.

We recently held a very successful fundraising evening with Sarah, many thanks to all who took part and contributed!  Pssst... You might recognise Sarah from the Target Dry Lifestyle Photography ;-)
