Christmas Presents from Target Dry!

It’s that time of the year again; the trees are going up, the fires are being lit and the infamous race to gather Christmas presents before the big day has commenced. But not to worry, we’ve got some great ideas to help you choose the perfect presents for your loved ones.

For Him

The Windsor

This diamond quilted country style coat is perfect for the Boxing Day shoot. Warm and cosy with authentic brass buttons and stylish corduroy trim, the Windsor is fully lined with a soft burgundy taffeta that helps keep the chilly drafts out. Available in two colours; Bracken and Navy, the Windsor is the perfect gift for anyone who loves spending time in the great outdoors.

The Strata

Our Mac in a Sac Strata is perfect for anyone who loves cycling, hiking or just generally enjoying the outdoors. It has a thermal lining to keep the winter chill at bay and conveniently folds away into a compact little package in its own pocket- perfect for filling the stocking! It's 100% waterproof and breathable too so it is guaranteed to come in handy in the wet British weather.

Xtreme Series Socks

Old faithful. What do you buy for your dad when you’ve no idea what else to get him? Socks. But not just any socks. These socks feature a unique blend of Merino wool and durable polyester, incorporating Cocona® 37.5 natural technology. Activated carbon is derived from coconut shells and blended into the yarn to help the durability of the sock and keep moisture levels low. Add this to the articulated arch, ankle braces and frictionless toe construction and you’ve got yourself one fancy pair of socks! Available in light, mid and heavy weights, you’ll be sure to find the perfect pair to suit him.

For Her

The Ascot

Maybe she wants to join you for the Boxing Day shooting, or maybe she just loves getting out in the countryside. Either way, the Ascot provides a stylish choice of gift. A diamond quilted jacket with a pretty rose print lining and matching fabric belt that beautifully accentuates the waist, it's no surprise that the Ascot is one of our best sellers.

Xtreme Series Socks

That's right. The socks aren't just for him. These make a great stocking filler for the outdoorsy girl who loves a spot of horse riding or a hike in the mountains. Again, the women's socks are available in three weights so there is something to suit every purpose. Read our blog post on choosing the right hiking socks if you are unsure.

For the Kids

The Snuggle

Perfect for running around outside in the snow (hopefully) during the Christmas holidays, the Snuggle Suit is insulated with a comfy quilted lining to keep your kids warm and cosy. The suit is entirely waterproof and breathable so should be able to easily accommodate high energy levels! Available in navy blue as well as three colourful prints, it suits the boys just as well as the girls.

The Trapper

Another good stocking filler, the Trapper Hat has a warm fleece lining and a 100% waterproof outer. The perfect accessory for keeping the kids warm and dry while out watching the New Year fireworks. This hat also has two matching coats, the Sofia and the Harry, if you feel like being extra generous (wink, wink)...

The New Outback 2 and Outrider 2 Coats have arrived!

Two of our most popular Coats, the Outback and Outrider have been redesigned for our Autumn Winter 2014 Collection! With new features and a new fit, we’re very excited to hear what you all think of the new and improved versions.

So what makes the new ones different? The below picture shows the original Full Length Outback Coat. We’ve included this picture at the beginning so you can see the difference for yourself…

New Fitted Cape

The below picture shows the brand new Outback 2 Coat in all its burgundy glory. Notice how the shape of the cape has been improved to include a more flattering dipped front? It is also much more fitted to your shoulder shape than the old cape with tighter under-arm straps so it won't flap around as much in the wind.

New & Improved Tapered Shape

The new Outback 2 and Outrider 2 have a more fitted shape with slimmer arms than the old design. This development came from your feedback that the original coats were a baggy fit which could be unflattering when wearing layers underneath. Problem solved!

Other Features

Other features of the new Outback 2 and Outrider 2 Coats are as follows:

   - Highly Waterproof (5000mm)

   - Windproof

   - Fully Taped Seams

   - Fully lined in woven check

   - Detachable check lined hood

   - 2-way front zip

   - 2 generous deep front pockets

   - Snap adjustable cuff tabs

   - Protective shoulder cape

   - Underarm cape straps

   - Optional cuff turn back

   - Generous adjustable back walking vent

   - Inside collar in corduroy

   - Adjustable canter/walking leg straps (just Outback 2)

New Colours

The new coats come in a range of vibrant new colours. We have included two swatch charts below so you can see what the colours look like:

The Outback 2 is available in Blackberry, Dark Olive, Burgundy, Jet Black and Eclipse Blue.

Outback 2 Colour Swatches

The Outrider 2 Coat comes in Blackberry, Dark Olive, Mulberry, Jet Black and Teal.

Matching Hats

And who could forget about the matching hats?! We have brand new Canterbury 2 (below) and Storm 2 (bottom) hats to match the new coats and they are even better than before.

Each hat comes in the 7 new colours so you can have whichever hat you like regardless of which coat you have chosen. The hats are also available in 3 new sizes, Small, Medium and Large as opposed to the S/M and L/XL sizes before. This will allow for a better fit than before which is important when out battling the elements!

We hope you will like our new designs as much as we do. Be sure to let us know your thoughts if you fancy treating yourself to a new one. :)

The Element Jacket- Trail Magazine's Best In Test

In this week’s Product Spotlight, we’ve got a special treat for all of the mountaineering enthusiasts out there. We will be discussing our brand new for Spring/Summer 2014 Element Jacket- the newest high performance technical jacket in our range. With a massive 8000mm waterproofing, a storm peak and ventilating pit zips; we think it’s pretty awesome, and we’re not the only ones...

After beating off stiff competition from some of the biggest names in the business, we are very proud to announce that our Element Jacket has been named Best in Test in this month’s edition of Trail Magazine. Wearing our “outstanding” and “well-designed” jacket has been described as “an uplifting experience” by the reviewer and we’re here to tell you why.

Target Dry Xtreme Series Element Jacket

Waterproof & Breathable

As previously mentioned, the Element features an extremely high 8000mm waterproof resistance so you are guaranteed to be kept “perfectly dry in heavy rain”. It also offers a breathability of 4000gsm which means you will be kept comfortable with any excess condensation being well managed by the mesh lining. This jacket also has fully taped seams which promise to keep you free from any nasty leaks.

Target Dry Xtreme Series Element Jacket

Features

Adding to the 8000mm waterproofing, the Element incorporates YKK AquaGuard Zips to ensure anything you are storing in your pockets stays bone dry through the rain. There are five pockets in this jacket; 2 hip pockets, 2 chest pockets and an internal pocket for the really important stuff. The reviewer in Trail Magazine said “the two Napoleon chest pockets swallow OS maps with space to spare too”, so you won’t be short of room to store everything you need.

We have included a volume adjustable hood with a wired storm peak, so even if it gets squashed in your rucksack, reshaping the hood to the perfect fit is quick and easy when the rain comes on. You can also adjust the hem of the jacket and use the Velcro adjustable cuff tabs to improve the windproof aspect of the jacket even further. The Element Jacket has also been designed with a slightly longer body to provide you with improved protection when you are not wearing overtrousers. Result.

SS14 Spotlight: Max & Heidi Jackets with Matching Wellies

This week we’re putting the spotlight on two of the main products in our Spring/Summer 2014 Kids Collection: our Max and Heidi Jackets.

If you want something that will keep your kids dry, comfortable and cool in the springtime rain, these jackets could be just what you’re looking for, and to complete the look, we’ve even designed matching welly boots!

Waterproof and Breathable

Our Max and Heidi Jackets are 100% waterproof, breathable and windproof. So this means you can let your kids enjoy the turn of the season, whatever the weather, without worrying about keeping them dry. The jackets have also been made with extra length and an integral three piece hood to provide unbeatable protection from the elements.

Colours and Prints

Our Max Jackets come in two different prints: Skydiver Dino Print (which has little spikes on the hood for added dinosaur effect) and Riviera Vintage Car Print. The Heidi Jackets are available in three prints: Fandango Navy Bow Print, Denim Ditzy Print and Mauve Mini Dot Print. The selection of different prints ensures that you are able to find something your little one will love.

Matching Wellies

We decided we would design matching Max Wellies and Heidi Wellies so that your kids can complete the look and be top to toe in their favourite print. And of course there is the added bonus of keeping the toes dry too. Rain? What rain!

Fully Jersey Lined

These Jackets promise to keep your kids dry, cool and comfortable at the same time as they feature a soft jersey lining that promises to chase away the chill and along with the breathability of the fabric, help to control any condensation build up during prolonged, energy filled periods in the rain.

Two Front Pockets

The Max and Heidi Jackets both feature two deep front pockets to keep the little hands warm and keep all the fun stuff safe.

Buttons

The Heidi even features little bow-shaped buttons (just decorative as there is a zip underneath the flap) to keep your little girl looking ultra-cute!

So for the ultimate in cute rain protection, why not choose a Max or a Heidi for your kids this spring/summer? If you do decide to buy one, be sure to let us know what you think. We love to hear any feedback our customers might have as we are always growing, developing and improving our designs.

That’s all for this week- keep an eye out for next week’s post. We have some exciting news about our new Men’s Element Jacket!
